Meet our little Joseph! Joe is 2 year old, 6 lb mini poodle mix. He came into the shelter with a broken jaw so damaged his bottom jaw hung open. The shelter knew he would need more medical care than they could provide so they reached out to us for help. Thanks to generous donors, and a wonderful dental specialist, Joe's jaw was surgically repaired and after months of healing is good as new! Joe is a loving little dog. He is super affectionate and loves his snuggle time up on your lap. He likes to go for walks (the longer the better)- Joe can keep up for miles! He also gets along great with other dogs and loves to play with his foster brothers who are similar sized. Joe can get easily startled and will bite out of fear. We think due to his injury he maybe a little reactive when he is scared. For this reason he should go to an adult only household and to an intuitive owner that can read his body language and growls and help him feel safe and secure. Joe can't wait to find his FURever family and get all the love and attention he so deserves. Joe is neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $250.
All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.
We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.
All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.
Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
