Bounce, Run, Play, Repeat! Hi, I'm Helga, a high energy girl looking for an active, adult family that has lots of time for games and long walks to keep my busy brain and wiggly body happy! I came to DCACC as a stray and I am so happy that they took me and gave me a safe, warm place to sleep and plenty of love! When I was brought into the shelter I had some weakness in my hind legs but with the loving care of the DCACC staff I am getting much stronger! Since I've been here I've had a few small accidents in my kennel that may be due to the chronic stress of living a shelter (kennel life is not for me!). Don't worry about me though! I am still happy-go-lucky Helga and I just love life! I even got to go swimming today which is helping keep my brain busy while I'm here at the shelter! I am looking for a new furever family, foster family, or rescue that will be understanding about my differences and willing to work on my accidents by providing me a regular potty break schedule! My ideal family would have lots of time for walks, play, and training (I want to show off my smarts!)! I love, love, love kids but I am a strong girl so I while I would love to have a human sibling to play and snuggle with I should only be walked by adults. No other pets please, I've waited so long for a family I really want to be the center of you world!
