Andre's Story...

Andre is a red-eared slider turtle. They are a relatively large turtle and can reach up to 12 inches in length. They will need an aquarium with a decent depth of water to swim in (the bigger the better - they are semi-aquatic turtles after all), and a basking area under a full-spectrum light source. They have specific dietary needs, and we will provide that information for you. They love to watch you, they'll just about eat from your hand, and we're sure you'll love having them in your home. Andre was born in 2005. When cared for correctly, sliders can live 20 years or more. No sanctuary visit necessary, however, you must be within driving distance of Kanab to adopt. If you are interested in a slider, please fill out an adoption survey!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Andre, a Kanab Turtle - Other was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Turtle - Other for sale in Kanab, or seeking a Turtle - Other from a breeder in Kanab.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kanab already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kanab breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Turtle - Other breeders who help with Turtle - Other rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kanab paves the way for another one to be saved.
