Arthur was rescued from a puppy mill, which means he doesn't know what it's like to be handled by people and treated like a pet. In other words, poor little Arthur doesn't know what it's like to be loved. He's very shy right now and tends to run when he is scared. But every day his personality comes to light a little more. Inside his shy shell is a curious and courageous little dog. Arthur was born in 2011 and he has never had a home of his own. He is not yet housetrained. He'd love to find someone who will keep him safe and show him what it's like to be a beloved pet. It would help him to have a canine companion to show him the ropes. He doesn't know what means to be cuddled. He needs a patient person who has experience with scared, shy dogs. In return, he will teach you how to appreciate the small steps of seeing him adjust to a loving home.
