Mona's Story...

Mona has an irresistible face. She originally came from a feral colony, so it's not surprising that she's shy with people at first, but she gets friendly once she knows you. She doesn't seek out other cats, but she does tolerate them. She feels safe in closed, confined areas, but she can be tempted with attention and treats. She does not like being picked up. We estimate she was born in 2009. She has a deformed right front paw, similar to a club foot, which was probably congenital. If you find this face irresistible and have the patience Mona would require, please fill out an adoption survey.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mona, a Kanab Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Kanab, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in Kanab.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kanab already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kanab breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kanab paves the way for another one to be saved.
