Simon's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Simon's Story...
Don't pinch Simon, he's extra dapper in his green! This incredibly handsome guy is four years old and he's waiting to meet his new best friend. Simon came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about his previous situation. Although he can be reserved, Simon comes alive when it's time to cuddle! He adores his people, preferring to stick close by and wait patiently for petting time.

Please note, Simon did test heartworm positive. His treatment is included in our $80 adoption fee, but Simon will need extra TLC once he heads home. Simon does well with most dogs and would adjust well to most homes, provided he has adequate play time. As a large, fluffy dog, Simon also requires regular brushing to ensure he stays mat-free.

This precious man has also been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. To meet him, stop by the shelter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Germantown Chow Chow/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/Golden Retriever for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Chow Chow/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Chow Chow/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
