I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Betty's Story...
Betty is a 9 year old Cockapoo who is as sweet as can be! She was adopted a couple of years back from Downey Shelter. Betty came to Downey as a stray with a dog tag having contact information in Phoenix that, sadly, no one ever responded to. Betty is currently in a loving home but, unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, her owner must re-home her. Betty's owner wants only the best for Betty and is hoping to find just the right person...... someone who will be the "perfect fit" that Betty so deserves. Betty is a bit shy and would do best in a quiet home with adults only or adults and older children. She is housebroken and fine with other dogs but would love to be the only pampered pup in the house. Betty loves being around people, and loves going for rides in the car and for walks. She's great in the tub and very obedient. Betty is a "people pup" and would be content to soak up your love and affection while just hanging out in your lap. If Betty sounds like she might be a good fit for YOU and you would like to meet her, please contact Kelly at

Act quickly to adopt Betty. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a San Pedro Cockapoo dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockapoo for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Cockapoo dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockapoo breeders who help with Cockapoo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
