My story

Do cute, submissive dogs bore you? Rosco is a good-looking young dog with a lot of spirit. When he does something, he does it with energy and flair. Although he is very intelligent and has a strong personality, like any great dog Rosco needs to belong to someone with all his heart. It is vitally important to him to please his people. He is eager to learn and soaks up what you teach him. Rosco is about two and a half years old. He weighs about 45 pounds but is surprisingly strong and athletic. He loves tug-of-war and will jump high in the air after a frisbee. He's also very affectionate and loves the quiet times when he might rest halfway on your lap and get stroked and lick you gently. Rosco gets along with other dogs. He is unlikely to start a fight, but he won't back down from one either. Rosco is primarily focused on his people. You can get and hold his attention even if another dog is going crazy a few feet away. He is a protector. He may take on the job of guarding his home, and might not let someone get close to you if he thinks they are dangerous. It is your job to channel this energy, which may surface after he bonds with you. If you can make it clear you are the pack leader, Rosco may not feel the job of protector has fallen on his shoulders. This doesn't mean you can't take Rosco anywhere. He likes to meet other people and dogs and has lived with other dogs for much of his life. This is a very smart, loyal dog who can be a wonderful companion. He's also a rascal!
