Foster Home Update:
Rose is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever fostered. She absolutely loves everyone she meets and is a great companion. She is extremely versatile meaning she will lay inside with you all day or go outside on adventures and be perfectly happy doing either.
She is crate trained, house trained and knows all basic commands. She is not destructive in any way. She is getting better on walks, and is learning not to pull as much.  ROSE NEEDS TO BE THE ONLY PET IN THE HOME.   She DOES NOT like cats.  She is AMAZING WITH CHILDREN OVER THE AGE OF 12, she loves them all. She loves being outside and off leash with a big fenced in area to explore. She comes when called and overall is an easy dog to take care of. She will jump right up in your car when you open the door, but during the car ride she gets a little anxious and starts panting. If you open the windows, it helps her relax a little bit. I also brought her around horses and she doesn't care for them.

Please foster or adopt this sweet girl and give her the forever home she deserves!

Hi, my name is Rose, I am a beautiful catahoula. I was surrendered from a high kill shelter where Judy and the amazing staff rescued me from.  I have high hopes of getting a second chance at life with a wonderful family and I know Judy and the wonderful staff will help me do that.  I am a loving dog but need to be the only dog. I'm not fond of cats either, and for that I am sorry. But I will love all over you. I do best with children over the age of 12. I am a big girl and I am strong so I need an experienced dog parent who is strong. I would prefer a large yard with a high privacy fence where I can explore and roll around and bask in the sun. I am smart and learn quickly.

About Pet Rescue By Judy

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a private, non-profit rescue located in Sanford, Florida, dedicated to the rescue cats and dogs. Many of them come to us with medical needs. They are doctored to the best of our ability and resources.

Our most urgent goal is to rescue animals that are abandoned or in distress, update their vaccines, and find good new homes for them. But we attempt to be more proactive than that. It is our heartfelt desire to prevent any animal from the need to be "rescued." With that vision in mind, we take a three-prong approach through the education of pet owners and the general public about:
- proper care of animals, including correct diet of good quality food, fresh clean water, daily exercise, and lots of love
- spaying and neutering companion animals (dogs and cats) in order to prevent euthanasia and over-population
- low-cost spay/neuter clinics and wellness centers in their local community

Come Meet Our Pets...

Although many of our pets are cared for at our facility in Sanford, many others are in private foster homes. To arrange a meet, it is best to first complete an online adoption application so that we can set up a meeting. You can access complete information on our pets plus the adoption application on our website, www.petrescuebyjudy.com. Adoptions are held at our Sanford Adoption Center as well as our Oviedo Mall Adoption Center. Our Adoption Process...

After being processed, we will arrange a meet with the pet at our facility in Sanford. Our adoption fees for cats are generally $75-$150; for dogs $100-$350. We also have a Seniors For Seniors Program to promote the adoption of senior pets by senior citizens.
