Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Nevie, She is a shepherd mix who is around two years old and a smaller girl who is around 35 lbs in need of a new home!
She is currently in a home with a older dog who is ill and that dog is not getting along with her. It has been a tough decision but the owner of both feels the older dog cannot be re-homed as easily, so she now is looking for a home for Nevie.
From her current owner:
Nevie loves to cuddle ON you and would love to sleep/nap with you EVERY time. ( sleeps with me every night) DISCLAIMER: when she's tired enough, her snore is similar to the sound of a bulldozer
She loves hugs and kisses(giving and receiving) and just attention, she'll never object to getting too much
She is kennel trained, but could be left out while gone for the most part(we've been working on it and have had no problems)(we have put mats in her kennel and she shreds them, but has not done any damage to anything else while being left out)
She shakes and sits, and then is getting better at laying down
We have a bell hung on the back door that she rings to go out.
She loves car rides and being ourdoors.
She has not minded any dog she has come in contact with.
She does okay with small children, but I think older-active ones would suit her best.
We have had a leash/collar malfunction twice and she has broke free while at the quarry... both times have been around other dogs and people, but I called for her and she's come right back.
She sheds like any normal dog, but has a big one once a year for about 2-3 weeks because of her breed.
She NEEDS activity. She isn't the kind of dog you can keep shut in the house all day. On average we go on 1-2 walks/runs a day along with having a big yard for her to play in.
Honestly, I've grown up with dogs my whole life. Nevie is as close to perfect as you're going to get.
Nevie is current on vaccines but still need to be spayed . If you are interested in meeting this beauty please fill out our online adoption application and we will forward it to her current owner. Her re-homing fee is $75.00. Please visit our website at www.dogworksohio.com
