Brewster came to us from Glen Rose where he and six littermates had been born under a house in the dirt. The poor mother of these babies was homeless and did the best she could to take care of her babies. The mother, knowing she needed help, befriended a teacher at a nearby school who, understanding her plight, began feeding her. That is the ONLY reason these babies survived!
Brewster appears to be a German Shepherd mix. Mom is a 50-pound brindle-colored dog, but Brewster obviously took after his dad! Mom is about 50 pounds, and we expect these babies to grow to be large dogs, but not extra large dogs, somewhere between 45 - 60 pounds is our best guess.
Brewster is up to date on his vetting, having received wormer, first puppy shot and kennel cough vaccination. More vetting will be coming for the next several weeks (more shots and worming and then his neuter, microchip, and rabies).
All of the babies in this litter are shy, but we have divided them up into several foster homes so they can get one-on-one attention to help them overcome their shyness. ;)
Brewster is currently being crate trained and puppy pad trained. He, along with his entire litter, is doing AMAZINGLY WELL! They rarely miss the puppy pad! Obviously, these kids are going to be smart. :)
