Meet Wharf, he is as sweet as he is gorgeous! At 3 years old, Wharf is house trained, crate trained, shows nice house manners, and is very affectionate. Wharf came to us with a badly dislocated hip that required surgical repair. He is on a medical hold while he recovers and rehabs. Wharf will be available for adoption after he is cleared by our vet, probably some time in early May. After he is healed he would like to become part of an active family that will include him in their adventures and continue his training so he can become the best companion. Wharf is a big boy who wants to be your lap dog, just like a favorite teddy bear. He walks well on a leash, especially with an easy walk harness. This sweetheart is fostered with other dogs, older children, some cats, and he does well with all of them! He will sleep quietly in has crate or on his dog bed all night. Wharf will bark to alert you of strangers approaching the house but he does not bark excessively. He is going to make some family very happy. If you are interested in meeting this boy after he has been released for adoption, you would need to fill out an adoption application on our website.
The adoption includes the altering of the dog, current vaccinations, and microchipping. For more information on the adoption donation and our adoption process, please visit our website at www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt. You will find our online adoption application there as well. Once you are approved to adopt, we will discuss how to meet our available dogs. Our dogs are NOT housed at our mailing address. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization. Thank you for reaching out to rescue a dog in need of hope!
