Facts about Love Bug

  • Breed: Domestic Mediumhair
  • Color: Tortoiseshell
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Medium
Love Bug is a 9 year old female Torti. She came to BestPals in January with her buddies Pumpkin and Smitten who have been adopted. They were surrendered when the owner had to enter Assisted Living. Love Bug was shaved due to matting but her hair has grown back nicely. Soft paws and Essence solutions would be worth trying while adjusting to a new home.
Spayed, Microchipped, vaccinated.

Meet Lovebug! This month Holland Doctors of Audiology is again sponsoring this cuddly couch buddy who LOVES attention. This beautiful tortoiseshell girl enjoys being brushed and will follow you around. She has a strong personality and may swat you at times but we think that she just needs the right owner to bond with. The benefits of animal companionship and relaxation to #tinnitus management are significant. If Lovebug is a good match for you, we will cover the full adoption fee. For more info please contact our friends at BestPals Animal Rescue Center. We are featuring and sponsoring a new cat or dog every month so please Like/Follow and Share to help us find homes for these animals <3 Thank you!

TRIVIA: "Torties" are known for their feisty "tortie-tude" personality: strong-willed and hot-tempered! Folklore also attributes the "torties" with bringing their owners luck and they are called "money cats!" In Southeast Asia, it was believed in the past that the first Tortoiseshell Cat was created from the blood of a young goddess. In England, people believed that rubbing the tail of these cats could cure warts. Japanese fishermen used to bring these cats on their boats, as they believed it would provide them protection against ghosts.
