Chomper got his name because of the adorable sound he makes when he closes his mouth. You can hear it on his video, and it's just part of his amazingly great personality! He's friendly and very affectionate, housetrained and crate trained. He's a terrier mix, about 3 1/2 years old, medium-sized and fully grown. He has a super smile and a beautiful black coat with white markings, and bright brown eyes. He gets along well with other dogs here at the shelter and likes to play, and we think he'd love to have a friend to keep him company. Bring your other dogs over for a meet-and-greet! He walks very nicely on his leash, he just needs someone who can hold him back if he sees something he'd like to chase. He's had a bit of separation anxiety, so he'd probably do best in a home where someone can be with him much of the time -- he loves you and wants to be with you. He's very smart, knows how to sit and accepts his treats very gently. His adoption fee is only $50, and he's already neutered, heartworm-free, up to date on his shots, microchipped and ready to go home with you! Please watch his video, then come on over and meet our lovable Chomper!
The adoption fee helps in covering the medical treatment that has been completed. This includes the cost of the spay or neuter, testing for HW, HW preventative, rabies vaccination, wormings, annual vaccination, and flea and tick treatments. If you are interested in adopting this pet, first visit our home page, www.nassauhumanesociety.com to complete the adoption application, view hours of operation, see other pets available or just to get directions to the shelter. You can email or fax the application to the shelter. If you have other questions you can call the shelter at 904-321-1647 or email us at email@example.com. We cannot hold a pet for adoption; therefore if you plan on traveling to the shelter please call before you leave to assure the pet you are traveling to see will be there. Some of our pets are in a foster care home with a volunteer and if you wish to meet those pets an appointment will need to be made. Thank you for considering one of our shelter pets for adoption.
