My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there my name is Belle, and that is exactly what I am-a polite little southern belle. I'm a super gentle dog who loves to get belly rubs and pets from my foster mom and dad. Speaking of foster homes, I also share mine with an adorable lab named Rosemary, and we are best friends. We play in the yard together, go for walks, and even head to Shelby Farms on the weekends. I ride great in the car and my leash skills are pretty awesome as well. Although I do like the outdoors, I'm a very chill dog and would be perfectly content spending the weekends on the couch or lounging in the backyard. I have wonderful manners so you won't have to worry about me jumping up on you or being super loud. I also spend time in my crate while my foster parents go to work and I'm a quiet little mouse when I go in except for my occasional snoring. If you are looking for a medium sized dog who has no issues curling up in the smallest ball to fit on your lap, look no further. It's me Belle, that you have been looking for.
All of our pets start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted.

In order to qualify for ALIVE’s program all of the following steps must be met: • You must be at least 24 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age. • Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided. • If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease. • All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed. • Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new dog or cat. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet. • Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis is $300.00. The $300.00 adoption fee includes transport to the Nashville area.

Our adoption application can be found at http://www.aliverescuememphis.org/adoptionapplication/

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you submit an application immediately to start the adoption process. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, ALIVE Rescue Memphis is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
