Hi. My name is Lady B. I’m a 12-year-old Australian terrier/dachshund mix, so I have great wiry fur, very attractive ears (as you can see from my photo), and the qualities of two loyal, spunky breeds. I came to my foster home from a Louisiana veterinarian and have been here since the middle of March. I have a crate of my own here where I feel very safe, something I haven’t felt for, well, nobody knows how long. So many things here I enjoy, like walking on the leash, which I am really good at. And I have made some great dog and cat friends. I’m a bit older, so my eyes aren’t what they used to be. But my taste buds are in great working order: I love food, especially if it’s soft because hard food and treats are difficult for me to chew. Right now I’m very shy, but my foster mom thinks when I start to feel comfortable with all the new things in my life, I’ll come out of my shell. As I’m somewhat fragile, adults and older kids are best for me. I’m hoping a calm, patient person will come soon to take me to my forever home. I know that’s what I need to let out all the love I have to share.

If you'd like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website— and choose me—Lady B! My adoption fee is $150 and includes all of my routine vetting, rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, boarding and transportation costs if applicable, along with a free* trial offer for 30 days of 24PetWatch pet insurance.

*Dependent on meeting eligibility requirements: Dogs 8 weeks to 10 years of age and cats 8 weeks to 12 years of age. This offer is not currently available to residents of CA, PA or RI.
