Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This four year old husky mix may be small but his personality is the size of a Great Dane. Moe is as comical as the real stooge. Moe is quiet at first, but soon warms up into a goofy, gooey love machine. Moe LOVES to cuddle and sleep in the bed with his favorite hoomans. He gets along with other dogs and is nonreactive to cats. This handsome cuddle bug is marked as special needs because he has experienced seizures in the past. While he doesn’t let this slow him down, there is a possibility of re-occurrence. Moe is ready to enjoy spring with his furever family.
Our adoption fee is $250 and covers: health certificate, microchip, bordetella, dhlpp and rabies vaccines, spay or neuter, a Ruffwear harness and use of Whistle GPS tracker for 3 months.
Things To Consider Before Inquiring:
- Our adoptable sleds dog are used to living in a traditional working kennel environment (ie: completely outdoors). This means that they will need to be house trained and exposed to house stimulus like stairs, cars, vacuums, wood floors, etc. Adopting an adult sled dog is similar to welcoming a puppy.
- Our adoptable sled dogs range from medium to high energy. In general they require multiple walks daily and engaging toys when inside the home. A bored/under exercised sled dog can be a destructive and anxious sled dog!
- Our adoptable sled dogs are trained to run and are therefore in general are a high flight risk! We do require that they be on leash or within a fenced in yard at all times until proper recall training has been received.
- While many of our adoptable sled dogs have befriended kitties in their new homes, we do not have cats at our facility to "test" them with. That being said, adopters are instructed to monitor all interactions with small animals as there is no telling how they may react.
