Facts about Iris

  • Breed: Siberian Husky Mix
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 11179183-33522987

Iris was first brought to YWAC in September when she was picked up by Animal Control as a stray. Since then she has been adopted and returned three times. Her adopters have had problems with her chewing things up inside, escaping and being aggressive around food with a smaller dog. She has never bitten anyone or gotten into a fight with another dog (though she snapped at the smaller dog). Iris needs an owner who has experience with huskies. Because of her behavior with food she is PG-8 and cannot go to a home with children under that age. She is crate trained. She knows Sit, Stay and Come. Iris is still a young dog, about one year old.

All Dog YWAC Adoptions Include: spay/neuter before leaving our facility, preliminary health check, vaccinations, de-wormer, heartworm test and monthly preventative, flea treatment, and a Microchip!! To find out if  this pet is still available for adoption, please call 865-215-6599. Please have pet name, rescue ID number, and description handy when calling, and please call instead of emailing!

Non-traditional pets (such as rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc.) are available at various adoption fees. Please call the Center at 865-215-6599 for more information about our adoption fees.
