This Laid Back, EASY Going Sweetheart is a PERFECT Companion to ALL :)

Hi there, my name's Darius and I'm a pure bred 2+ year old, neutered male American Bully (Amstaff with LOTS of Mastiff AND Bulldog back blood) who's known to be a big, BEEFY, lovable, HUGABLE clown that adores lovin, frolicking with my human and canine friends and is absolutely addicted to experiencing life ~ FUN in motion AND a TOTAL house dog! Though I'm known to be a sincerely committed COUCH POTATO indoors but, if YOU like walks, hiking, running, boarding, biking then I’m your boy ~ I can be the consummate athlete if YOU want and still remain a laid back marshmallow while we hang out inside ! I enjoy my friends at our multi dog foster home ~ especially my BFF rescue buddy, Sassy, 'cause she's my main squeeze AND cuddle partner / interactive play toy ~ but I'm generally nice to everyone I meet, it always pays to be a Gentleman :) Typical of the original Bully breedings, I have a STABLE, even temperament so I'm calm, HIGHLY intelligent, EASY to train, SUPER affectionate, extremely GENTLE and very well behaved indoors, knowing that’s the place to be kicked back. I’m a very SWEET boy who’s super socialized, housebroken, crate trained (though I certainly don't need one), plus I know and respond to the off, wait and load up commands, and I even sit nicely for treats (immediately AND without being asked, thank you very much). I enjoy children and am known for being gentle with toddlers! I can easily handle an active lifestyle... always on the go with new adventures? YEAH ~ pick ME ! I looooove to play with toys, enjoying a good bone while we watch movies and especially like car rides! I have a heart of gold, learn REALLY quickly and live to please my human(s), especially in response to an experienced, calm, assertive pack leader that I respect. My foster Mom says I’m the PERFECT companion because I have a heart as big as all outdoors!

About Pet-a-Bulls, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Pet-a-Bulls, Inc. is New Mexico’s all volunteer based “Bully” breed ADOPTION group. We carefully select dogs from City and County shelters across the State, ensure that all medical needs and vaccinations are in place and that each and every one of our fur~friends have the basic behavior training to automatically exhibit the skills required to be deemed “Ready-Made” family pets!

Pet-A-Bulls, Inc. was formed exclusively to address the overwhelming overpopulation and homeless pet problems in the state of New Mexico. While our primary focus is placed on American Bullys, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Bulldogs, Old English Bulldogs, American Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, all the various Mastiffs and other “Bully” type breeds, virtually all canine breeds are always considered as space permits. Keep an eye on our “Adoptable Dogs” page as you never know what you’ll find ~ we’ve had everything from a Dogo Argentino to a Bouvier des Flandres, to Dachshunds, Chihuahuas, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Border Collies and Labs to absolutely adorable “pure D genuine, certified, New Mexico specials” (undetermined mixed breeds with lovely personalities).

Pet-A-Bulls places our full focus on carefully selecting our dogs from high kill shelters in New Mexico, after they have been properly screened and evaluated, in a full on effort to prevent unnecessary euthanasia. All intakes are carefully evaluated and then placed into in-home foster with people appropriately matched for their care. We are NOT able to accept dogs directly from the public under our current structure.

Pet-A-Bulls is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation and ALL donations are tax deductible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs adopt out quickly so don't take a chance on missing the love of YOUR life! We have a strong commitment "to servicing our kiddos and their potential new families" ~ PLEASE call 505-316-2089 to schedule YOUR appointment today!

Please be sure to include YOUR phone number in ALL email inquiries to ensure a quick response :)

Our Adoption Process...

We have an adoption application that all adopters are asked to complete. Our adoption fees vary slightly depending on the medical expense we have in the dog, but generally run $150 to $200 with a select few ranging as high as $300 to cover additional medical costs. Please email or call us about any dogs you are interested in ~ we would be delighted to discuss the process and the dog you are interested in and whether its a good fit for your lifestyle and family. All dogs are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on shots and heart worm tested if over 6 months old. We also provide free training classes to help your adopted pet be the best pet ever. Bully breeds often have very few options once they are at a shelter and have one of the highest euthanasia rates of all breeds so please consider opening your home as an adopter or foster to this wonderful, often misunderstood breed!
