My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlie is a bright and beautiful boy of about 8 years old that is looking for a fresh start in life. Our ACO went to great lengths to retrieve Charlie from a local sand pit that he was frolicking in and brought him in. His owners were located but let us know that they did not want him back. Charlie was adopted 7 years ago from a local shelter and this basenji/pharaoh hound mix was a little scared and confused as to why he was back in a shelter. Once he realized that he was in good hands, Charlie relaxed, let his hair down, and began making friends and giving kisses. Charlie is a very well behaved boy that walks perfectly on a leash, sits and offers a pawshake when asked, and is very gentle with taking treats. Once he knows you, he trusts you quickly and just wants to be petted and get lots of attention. He is a little shy with meeting new people but just give him time. Charlie is fine with dogs, cats, and even kids, but he will need a secure, fenced yard, as we learned that he has gotten out of his yard in the past. This lovable gentleman is eager to get noticed quickly and into a great home where he will be loved forever and never given up on again. File#27109 3/17/17
