My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Happy Huckleberry is such fun to be around! He truly brightens the day of everyone he meets! He is a three year old hound dog who loves to serenade his friends as he bays with joy. Huck weighs about 70 lbs and he is a tall cutie! Huckleberry is one of those unique dogs with two different colored eyes - one is sky blue and the other is a pretty shade of hazel. A Native American legend says these dogs can see both heaven and earth at the same time, and we absolutely love this beautiful idea.

Our partner shelter uses the Meet-Your-Match Evaluation and Huck scored as Orange – Goofball- “I’m a fun-loving, happy-all-the-time, glass-is-half full kind of dog looking for someone who loves to laugh and play around. Must have a great sense of humor and some time to spend with me. I’m on a mission to please you.”

Huckleberry has lots of energy and enjoys long walks, especially in the wooded part of the shelter grounds. He has so much fun in the yard where he is interested in all his surroundings and recently had an adventure treeing a squirrel. He also had such fun during a play date with one of his shelter canine buddies. This friendly, good-natured dog is going to be such a fun companion!

To learn more about Lucky Pup Rescue, please visit our website: www.luckypuprescue.org. If you have interest in any of our dogs, please fill out the application and we'll work with you to find a great match for your family: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/#!adoption-application/c1aw8.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
