Gracie Mae's Story...
Hi! My name is Gracie Mae. I am a SUPER SWEET, cuddly, gentle, easygoing girl. I was found wandering around VERY PREGNANT in a parking lot. A good Samaritan picked me up and brought me to DBTR and a few days after being saved, when I knew I was safe, I gave birth to healthy puppies. My babies were born 1/26/17 and all will be going to their forever homes on 4/1 and I hope I get a forever home, soon, too! I am about 2 years old, weigh 15 lbs and I love dogs, cats and kids. I will be spayed BEFORE I go to my forever home and I will be microchipped. I am heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $300 and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport if my new family lives in the northeast USA. I am currently being fostered in South Carolina, but I can catch a ride up north to meet my new family. Please email my rescue at to get an adoption application! Thanks for checking me out!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie Mae, a West Nyack Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in West Nyack, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in West Nyack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Nyack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Nyack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Nyack paves the way for another one to be saved.
