Oh Joey, Joey, Joey. What a cruel hand you've had dealt to you. Found as a neglected stray with a giant, untreated mass on his chest, the news was sadly expected: cancer. However, thankfully, there was good news too; the form of cancer he has is so slow-growing that it won't cause him any more fuss in his lifetime. Now this guy is loved, spoiled, and healthy after his surgery, so all he needs is someone to open their heart and their home to him. Joey is low-maintenance, well-mannered, and great with other dogs and cats. No one would believe that this happy-go-lucky Beagle has gone through as much as he has, and he certainly isn't holding any grudges. Joey is now neutered, Lyme's tested, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and looking for his TRUE forever home to enjoy the plenty of time he has left!

About Teacher's Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Check out our wonderful dogs for adoption.
We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit association and are located in Coudersport.
Our goal is to lessen the suffering and neglect of animals and to help people who have to give up their dogs. We also want to assist people who wish to open their hearts and homes to a new family member.

There are a large number of animals in Potter County that are in need of help and Potter County does not have an SPCA. Our goal is to assist dogs in the area that are turned in to us, rehabilitate dogs when necessary, and teach socialization skills.

Although we currently have limited space and resources, we are here to help.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We can be reached through the email address provided. Currently, visitation of animals is by appointment only.

Our Adoption Process...

We ask a donation made out to Teacher's Pet Rescue.
We spay/neuter before adoption. All dogs are up to date with vaccines, are microchipped and are treated for fleas and parasites.

While we do not discriminate based on income, we reserve the right to turn away any potential adopter who does not meet our standards of care for the animal. We also reserve the right to conduct a home visit and remove any animal from the adopted home if that animal is being mistreated or tethered outside for more than a reasonable period of time (dependent on weather conditions). We believe that dogs are social animals and must be with their families. We understand that people must work and that a dog may be left in the house or other suitable place. We do not support tethering the animal during this period of time. Dogs should not be left unattended 24/7.

Interested parties are required to complete the correct form, whether it be a surrender or adoption.
