Who wants a dog who can run and play for miles and miles? Well, meet Miles! This big Lab mix had a very bad past, but his enthusiasm for life is unmatched. We're pretty sure this dog doesn't know how to walk, only hop and bound like a giant black bunny! His favorite thing in the world is his ball with a handle that he can carry around everywhere with him, but any kind of toy someone is kind enough to throw to him is a-okay with him. Miles is great with other dogs who aren't intimidated by his energy level, but he might be a little much for very young children. He has allergies but is doing well on a simple management program, so don't be shy about that. Miles sure isn't bothered by it! This big, lovable goof is neutered, Lyme's tested, dewormed, flea treatment, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and ready to go!

About Teacher's Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Check out our wonderful dogs for adoption.
We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit association and are located in Coudersport.
Our goal is to lessen the suffering and neglect of animals and to help people who have to give up their dogs. We also want to assist people who wish to open their hearts and homes to a new family member.

There are a large number of animals in Potter County that are in need of help and Potter County does not have an SPCA. Our goal is to assist dogs in the area that are turned in to us, rehabilitate dogs when necessary, and teach socialization skills.

Although we currently have limited space and resources, we are here to help.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We can be reached through the email address provided. Currently, visitation of animals is by appointment only.

Our Adoption Process...

We ask a donation made out to Teacher's Pet Rescue.
We spay/neuter before adoption. All dogs are up to date with vaccines, are microchipped and are treated for fleas and parasites.

While we do not discriminate based on income, we reserve the right to turn away any potential adopter who does not meet our standards of care for the animal. We also reserve the right to conduct a home visit and remove any animal from the adopted home if that animal is being mistreated or tethered outside for more than a reasonable period of time (dependent on weather conditions). We believe that dogs are social animals and must be with their families. We understand that people must work and that a dog may be left in the house or other suitable place. We do not support tethering the animal during this period of time. Dogs should not be left unattended 24/7.

Interested parties are required to complete the correct form, whether it be a surrender or adoption.
