Meet Bo!

Bo is a gentle Pit Bull Terrier mix, approximately 6 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Bo was a long time Corridor resident, a dog we long wanted to bring into our program but who would disappear for extended periods of time. Other emergency situations would take precedent, and Bo would take a backseat, patiently waiting for his freedom ride from the cruel streets. After much too long, he finally was rescued.

Our volunteers found Bo laying in the grass, motionless. They didn’t know if they should be happy to finally have found him or concerned about being too late. He was exhausted, anemic and underweight. He may not have survived another day. He willingly let our volunteers load him in to the car and rode calmly all the way to the clinic where he seemed resigned to being rescued.

After Bo was released from the clinic, he went to a home-based boarding facility and his caretaker fell head over heels in love with him. “Gentle giant” is the first thing that comes to mind when speaking about Bo. He is very calm and sweet natured yet outgoing as he makes friends with people easily and does well with older children.

Bo is submissive with people and has an average energy level. He recently discovered the joys of playing with toys. He really becomes alive when he plays and always carries his baby with him wherever he goes. He prefers to play with his human over playing with other dogs.

Bo is crate trained and keeps his kennel clean. He walks nicely on the leash without pulling. He knows sit, stay and will come when you call his name off leash. He loves to do tricks for treats. His favorite commands are sit and shake. Don't forget to check out the video of him. We are quite impressed with what he has learned in such short time. Bo is a quick study!

Overall, he seems quite pleased with his new life. It is long past time for him to have his very own family and enjoy the perks of being a loved companion. Will you be his forever family?

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.

The adoption fee of $200 covers neuter, microchip and current vaccines.

About Corridor Rescue Inc. - Pittsburgh Transports

About Our Rescue Group...

Corridor Rescue Inc. is an all breed 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable animal rescue organization on a mission. A mission of mercy, rescue and awareness. A mission to save lives and correct an injustice to animals who have been thrown away and left, often times injured and starving, to fend for themselves in the Hwy 59 and Little York area of Houston - apparently the dividing line for the county and city Animal Control. Its about a mile strip of road dubbed the "Corridor of Cruelty". Veer off to the left or right along any point and see the same everywhere - abandoned and starving dogs, in pain and suffering. Here, trash and animals are discarded without thought on a regular basis. We're not talking about a handful of animals, but hundreds of physically and emotionally damaged animals in the fight of their lives to simply survive another day.

Started by one person, Corridor Rescue has grown its team of volunteers, from all walks of life, united in an effort to help this community of orphaned animals in desperate need of help. We work to rescue hard to capture dogs and cats; to rescue and rehabilitate diseased and injured dogs; to facilitate the rescue of animals mainly from the Corridor of Cruelty but also from other areas of Houston; to educate about spay/neuter and animal cruelty laws.

Success happens everyday yet we know that our fight is far from over

Our Adoption Process...

We require all potential adopters to complete our pre-adoption application. Please contact with inquiries, or visit our website to fill out our online adoption application -

After review of your application, a rescue volunteer will contact you. We will check veterinary references on all current pets or any that you have had in the past 3 years. We conduct a home visit by appointment to meet family members, other pets, and to evaluate home safety conditions. If we feel the potential adoption is a good match for the family and the pet, then we proceed with placing the animal on a "trial adoption". We want to be sure that your new pet is right for you!
