Sophie's Story...
Introducing Sophie, the Beagle and Border Collie mix! We're estimating that Sophie is about 6-8 years old.

Sophie is an absolute sweetheart. She just loves to hang out on her dog bed and relax, and we believe she has the potential to be the perfect low-maintenance house pet!

She is crate trained, although she doesn't need to be crated. She is potty trained, and knows how to sit. Sophie does well on a leash with some coaxing. She loves meeting new people including men and children, ignores cats, and does great with lower energy, calm dogs but does not like hyper, super affectionate dogs who will be in her face a lot.

Adoption fee $195, apply to adopt at causeforcanines.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Columbus Beagle/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Border Collie for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Beagle/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Border Collie breeders who help with Beagle/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
