We were contacted by a teacher at Benton Middle School about this sweet cat who showed up one morning at their school.  The teachers at the school attempted to find an owner by contacting animal control.  There are no residences close to the school, so it's likely she was dumped.  Also, our vet determined she has been spayed... another sign she was likely dumped.  She's very sweet and used to human touch... yet another clue that she was likely dumped.  Sadly, this kind of thing happens more often than people think.  She is safe now thanks to the kind teachers at Benton Middle School who took her in and then reached out to us for help.  Sadly, we are not always able to help abandoned cats, but we had an opening and were able to in this case.

Adoption fee $75, which includes microchipping and enrollment fee.   To pre-apply, e-mail for an adoption application. Only adopters with a responsible cat ownership history and excellent vet reference need apply.

More pics and a full write-up will be posted in the next few days.
