ARE WE INVISIBLE? That is all that makes sense to us since we have been at this adoption centre since February. That’s almost seven months since our owner passed away and we were PROMISED we would be loved again, but people come in and walk out with other cats. No one seems to see us but the volunteers. The volunteers tell us we are the greatest cats and super friendly and that our time to go home will come but we aren’t sure anymore. It has been so long. Won't you PLEASE come for us?
My name is Slinky (blue bow tie) and this is my best friend, Calico Kid. I am now seven years old and Calico Kid is eight. She had a litter of kittens when she was only six months old. Our owner found homes for all of her kittens, so it was just the two of us left at home. Calico Kid has always been just like a mom to me and I'm so happy I got to grow up with her! I can't imagine living without her. Just as a protective mother would be, Calico Kid is a bit more reserved than I am. She can be a wee bit shy in new places, but once she gets to know you, she will come around. She absolutely loves to have her ears rubbed - they just make her feel SO good! She deserves to feel good. She's taken such good care of me all my life! I am very outgoing and just love scratches and belly rubs. I've never missed a meal and so I'm a very big boy. But that's ok - I'm just a big hunk of love! More to love and cuddle! I love to flop and drop on the floor. It's just the cutest thing - the volunteers at the adoption centre just love it! I love Calico Kid so much, just like my mom, that we must be adopted together. We both love our treats, although I probably shouldn't have too many! When we get to our new home, we probably should work on helping me lose a bit of weight. We both like to hang out with most of the cats at the adoption centre, but we're not sure about dogs.
Our owner passed away and there were no other family members to take us, so we were surrendered. It was sad, but at least we are still together.
We are SO looking forward to finding our new forever home. We would love our new home to have lots of sunny spots to bask in the sun, and a couple of warm beds to snuggle in. And of course, a family who will love us forever and ever!
We are current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
