Hi everyone! My name is Slinky and this is my mom, Calico Kid. I am now seven years old and mom is eight. Yes, she was a very young mother. She had her kittens when she was only six months old. Our owner found homes for the rest of my siblings, but kept me with mom. I'm so happy I got to grow up with her! I can't imagine living without her. As a protective mother should be, mom is a bit more reserved than I am. She can be a wee bit shy in new places, but once she gets to know you, she will come around. She absolutely loves to have her ears rubbed - they just make her feel SO good! Mom deserves to feel good. She's taken such good care of me all my life! I am very outgoing and just love scratches and belly rubs. I've never missed a meal and so I'm a very big boy. But that's ok - I'm just a big hunk of love! More to love and cuddle! I love to flop and drop on the floor. It's just the cutest thing - the volunteers at the adoption centre just love it! I love my mom so much, that we must be adopted together. We both love our treats, although I probably shouldn't have too many! When we get to our new home, we probably should work on helping me lose a bit of weight. We both like to hang out with most of the cats at the adoption centre, but we're not sure about dogs.

Our owner passed away and there were no other family members to take us, so we were surrendered. It was sad, but at least we are still together.

We are SO looking forward to finding our new forever home. We would love our new home to have lots of sunny spots to bask in the sun, and a couple of warm beds to snuggle in. And of course, a family who will love us forever and ever!

We are current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

About Ninth Life Cat Rescue of Ontario

About Our Rescue Group...

Our main purpose is to save the lives of cats in danger of death, starvation and disease and to educate the public about cats in their homes and neighbourhoods. Some of our rescues are hand-picked from overcrowded local shelters. Others have been rescued from known “dump” sites. Still others may be trapped from lives outside by kind volunteers or families or may be surrendered by families who can no longer care for them for various reasons.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats are available for adoption at Etobicoke and Oakville PetSmart stores and at various Pet Value stores in the Oakville/Mississauga neighbourhoods.

Our Adoption Process...

Our cats are available for adoption for $195. Contracts must be signed accepting responsibility for the cats. Adopters must sign a 'Do not declaw' clause.
