Hailey's Story...
Hi! I’m Hailey and I’m a 1-year-old Dachshund mix that weighs about 10 lbs. I get along great with other dogs, children, and even cats! I’m totally housebroken, and even though I don’t really like the crate, I sleep perfectly on my own doggie bed. I’m great in cars and walk very well on a leash. I’m a very loving and cuddly girl, so let me know if you’re looking for a forever friend with tons of love to give!

If you'd like to meet this dog, please fill out an adoption application at http://www.sarocks.org/adopt or visit us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/sarocksorg

The $150 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, rabies tag, heartworm test, and first month's flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

Adopting an animal from a foster home gives you the best option of finding a pet that matches your lifestyle and home environment. Because they are in foster, our foster homes are able to give you more information on their temperament and personality.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hailey, a San Antonio Dachshund/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Corgi for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Dachshund/Corgi dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Corgi breeders who help with Dachshund/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
