Maya's Story...
Meet Maya! This totally adorable and sweet girl is about 2-3 yrs old and is a chi/maltese mix. She was an owner surrender due to her daughter having allergies. She is shaved in these pics b/c the owner thought that would help with her daughter's allergies :( So when her coat grows in , she will be a stunner!

Maya is super friendly and social. She LOVES to snuggle and cuddle and she is fantastic with dogs and kids (not cat tested). Adoption fee $450 - include health exam, up to date vaccines, microchipping, spay, deworming, and 30 days of free pet health insurance.

Application can be found on our website www.RDRanimalrescue.org!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maya, a Franklinville Chihuahua/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Maltese for sale in Franklinville, or seeking a Chihuahua/Maltese dog from a breeder in Franklinville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklinville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklinville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Maltese breeders who help with Chihuahua/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklinville paves the way for another one to be saved.
