My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coco was recently rescued from a very poor situation with her sister Yuki. Coco is under 1 year old and around 45 lbs.

This smart lady has it all—great looks, fantastic athleticism, and a bright mind to boot!

Coco is a big sporty girl who enjoys a lot of exercise. She loves to run, hike or run alongside a mountain-bike, so an active family would be a perfect fit for her. She also enjoys daily walks and chasing a ball or her foster siblings.

Coco is also a big snuggle bunny who loves nothing more than lying next to you while you watch TV. She has good house manners, is good at walking on and off leash. Coco knows basic commands (sit, stay, leave it) and has a very good recall, but still would benefit from some training.

Coco is good with other dogs (she lives with four at the moment), and while she has no experience with cats, we feel she’d be best in a home without cats.

She is house trained and quiet in the house, but will alert when strangers arrive and listens to her people when they tell her OK. Coco does well with an antler or cow hoof during “down” time.
She is described by her foster family as intelligent, playful, and a fast learner.

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a "first come, first serve" basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you can visit our website at norcalbullybreedrescue.com and fill out an adoption application (from your home computer). Please allow at least 24 to 48 hours for a reply.

Coco's adoption donation is $350.

Interested in meeting Coco or any of our available pooches? Complete and submit our adoption application online at norcalbullybreedrescue.com and we'll be in touch!
