This is Sunshine and Blackie, male and female bonded seniors. They are Loving Care cat rescue cats residing in Harrisburg.
These two kitties, believed to be between 12 and 10 years old, were taken into the rescue as a trial pair, but they passed being social with flying colors! They were outside cats, then brought inside by a dear woman who adored them. After she passed away, they were left alone, except for feeding, for 3 years in a house. When the house was to be sold, the cats needed "to go somewhere" and the family reached out to us and we accepted them. A foster has been working with them to trust again and as you can see, they found it in their hearts to give humans another chance.
Recently, Blackie was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. His medication is easily administered by rubbing a gel on his ear daily and only costs $25 per month. He is feeling much better now and is such a sweet, affectionate boy!
Please, if you have room in your house to find room in your heart for these two bonded kitties. Blackie follows the foster around! Both are spayed or neutered, shots up to date, use the litter box like toys and humans! They have not been tried with other cats but other cats are in the house and they do not seem to care.
Their adoption fee is $50.00 which includes a negative Felv and FIV test, worm and flea meds, distemper and rabies shots. They are both altered and are ready for their forever home, these two must go as a bonded pair as they have already had a big loss in their lives.
