Meet Brownie, a beautiful Hound mix, approximately 3 years old, and weighing 40+ pounds. Brownie was surrendered to the shelter along with 3 other dogs. She was very scared at the kennel at first but is now more relaxed.
When it is time to go to sleep at the kennel, Brownie picks out a favorite stuffed toy or stuffed animal, and lovingly cuddles with it all night. When Brownie was temporarily in a foster home, she loved sleeping on the dog bed next to her foster mom's bed. She even slept ON the bed with her foster parents - she loved her foster family, especially the daughter & mom. At the foster home, Brownie was housetrained.
Currently at the kennel, Brownie has her own volunteer that lovingly works with her on leash training and basic commands. Brownie especially enjoys her walks on the wooded trail. Brownie gets along with other dogs and is good with cats.
If you want to meet Brownie go to EHRDOGS.ORG and submit an application. Don't forget to ask for BROWNIE BEAUFORT!!!
