Pearl is a 1 year old female white shepherd/baladi mix. She was a Cairo, Egypt street dog. She was rescued from the streets as a young, very emaciated puppy, around 6 months old. She was taken to an animal sanctuary where she was fed and she put on some weight. She learned to trust humans, and was then moved to a temporary foster home. There she lived with dogs and cats.
This sweet girl was recently flown into JFK airport and taken to foster. She has been very sweet to people but somewhat dog-selective. We believe that with the proper time to decompress, and the proper correction Pearl will one again be the dog-friendly little girl she was back home.
This sweet girl is very athletic, she jumped a 4 ft baby gate without making an effort. Therefore, a fenced-in yard, and/or previous breed experience are a must.
