My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TUMAI: 9 Year Old Black Lab/Mix Male 80 Pounds

Meet handsome Tumai! His owner got him when he was a puppy. However, recent life changes and health challenges have forced his mom to give him up. She has entrusted us to find him a great new home. Tumai is just a wonderfully friendly boy! His tail simply does not stop wagging! He might be 9 years old, but he is no senior citizen…..Tumai prefers to be called “seasoned.” Do not let his age fool you. He is full of love and life – just watch his video.

He LOVES to be active. He especially enjoys hiking, playing on the beach, swimming and chasing his ball (endlessly). He has put on a few extra pounds and those activities will get his boyish figure back quickly! Tumai knows basic obedience. He is treat-motivated, so teaching him more obedience skills will be fun and easy. He would love to attend obedience training with his new people. He gets along well with other dogs and was raised around older children. He is crate trained, which is where he sleeps at night.

Please watch Tumai’s video! If you are looking for a sweet, fun loving and active senior Lab to share your life with, please text Rescue Rep Mitzi at 408-472-2030.

(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
