Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Poof is a 9 year old, 26# Beagle. His temperament is exceptional. He is one of the few dogs who is good with everyone. This is a dog that could easily walk into your home and you would think he had been there all his life. He knows the routine of a home and the joy of a soft dog bed. Typically Beagles can be pretty vocal, not Poof. If he barks, there is a reason.
Poof likes to go for walks and car rides. He does well in the car, Poof looks around until he gets bored and then curls up and naps in the seat beside you. He walks well on a leash and is a typical Beagle who likes his nose to the ground. Poof is also a typical Beagle in that he is always hungry. He needs a home that will feed him twice a day and not give in to those big brown eyes. Poof is a little pudgy and could use to lose 3-4 pounds.
Poof came into rescue as an owner surrender. His former owners (I’m calling them owners, not family because families don’t do things like this) got him as a puppy and have now decided they don’t have time for him. Poof is looking for a forever home that understands dogs aren’t used cars to be traded in, they are family.
Poof is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped. Poof likes sniffing around his yard and would love a home with a fenced in yard.
