ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 05/22/2018 - UPDATE -
Dear Friends - Elmer here. I want to tell you all about my new life. Things have been going so well for me since CSAC rescued me when I was at a shelter. I was a stray boy wandering around and being lonely. Luckily, my new life is really happy. See, I have the best foster mom and two pup siblings. I even live with a cat I like. Mom says I love EVERYONE, people and animals. When we go for walks, which I love, I am excited to meet everyone. And I don't even bark at other pups. I am a real gentleman.
I am an older guy so I have some of those pesky things that come with age. My vision is not the best, but I certainly get around just fine. I see my food and treats and my favorite squeaky toys. All important things! I need to take some medications but I am great with that. Mom says I am the sweetest boy ever. She and I love to sit together on the sofa. I always like to be near her. We really love each other a bunch.
I know I will LOVE my new family when they find me. I am a real gem of a boy. Please let CSAC know you want to meet Elmer. Thanks so much. Hugs and kisses - Elmer
MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION:
Hi Everyone! My name is Elmer, and I just arrived at the CSAC from a shelter. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I do have a few issues, my eyes require eye drops and I have very little vision. I need to have cherry eye surgery but I have to see an cardiologist for my heart murmur before I can have surgery. Everyone says I am very sweet. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
