Snowman came to us from Glen Rose where he and six littermates had been born under a house in the dirt. The poor mother of these babies was homeless and did the best she could to take care of her babies. The mother, knowing she needed help, befriended a teacher at a nearby school who began immediately feeding her. That is the ONLY reason these babies survived!
Snowman appears to be a German Shepherd mix who took after his daddy. Mom is a beautiful gray brindle dog who, honestly, is just a dog of unknown mixed breeds. She is about 50 pounds, and we expect these babies to grow to be large dogs, but not extra large dogs, probably between 45 and 60 pounds ... at 10 weeks they are certainly not large, but we also believe they have been malnourished and now that quality food is available to them, we expect to see some growth! :)
Snowman is up to date on his vetting, having received wormer, his first puppy shot and his kennel cough vaccination. More vetting will be coming for the next several weeks (more shots and worming and then his neuter, microchip, and rabies).
All of the babies in this litter are shy, but we have divided them up into several foster homes so they can get one-on-one attention to help them overcome their shyness. ;) Travis is doing very well in his new foster home!
Adoption fee for Snowman is $150. All adoptions are done on a 30-day trial.
