FREDDIE's Story...
Lafayette Animal Control Center would like to welcome FREDDIE to our adoption program. He is a 1 year old, 19.8 lb. Terrier/Mix who doesn't understand why he is at the shelter. He is very comfortable in the arms of the volunteers and enjoys receiving love and kisses. When out in the play yard he has a blast with his shelter buddies. He is somewhat on the shy side and was terrified of my camera. The volunteers promised him that they would find him a loving home where he could learn how to be a dog! He is as cute as a button and will fit in any size lap. All canines are fully vetted, UTD on vaccinations, rabies, wormed, micro-chipped and spay/neutered. Adoption fee is $100. Cash, Visa, Mastercard and Discovery are accepted. Adoption hours are from 1:00-4:30.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

FREDDIE, a LAFAYETTE Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in LAFAYETTE, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in LAFAYETTE.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LAFAYETTE already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LAFAYETTE breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LAFAYETTE paves the way for another one to be saved.
