Wonder's Story...
Comments from our kennel staff: "Wonder is a larger framed boy who has an absolutely beautiful coat and face. He has a great, interactive personality with his humans, and he enjoys turnout time with the other hounds. He would thrive in a home with other non-dominant greys, and he has also been recently tested as okay with cats if the home is dog/cat savvy and the cat is used to larger dogs. He would most likely do okay with smaller, calm natured dogs as well. He's a good listener, and adjusts to routines quickly. He loves treat time too! We'll have more on him once he's in foster care."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wonder, a St Petersburg Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in St Petersburg, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in St Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
