Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blade is a very special, sweet and gentle, 50-pound, three-year-old, male Shar Pei looking for a very special dog-loving guardian.
Poor Blade spent the first part of his life living outside. When he was given up to rescue by his “family” he finally had a chance of a good life.
He just loves to be touched, pet, loved on and snuggled with.
Poor Blade is so full of fear, he is just learning to walk on leash. He doesn’t like things on his neck, so he wears a harness. Sometimes he needs to be picked up and carried. He loves people, but young children may be a little too much for him. Adults and gentle teenagers are more his speed.
Blade wasn’t socialized with other dogs, but he may be okay with a gentle non-threatening dog.
Blade is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and tested for heartworm.
He is currently at the Pei Land Rescue in Plano, Illinois. His adoption fee of $300 benefits rescues pets.
