Aspen is one of the most fun, interesting and playful cats we have ever had. In many ways he acts like a dog. We believe he may be part Bengal, which could explain his personality. Aspen entertains us with his playfulness and high energy when chasing after toys or playing with other cats.
Aspen's love for people and other animals is amazing. He loves to be held, and will purr with delight. He will return the affection by rubbing on you to show he loves you. Aspen simply loves everyone: humans, dogs, cats - you name it!
In his free time, Aspen can be found peering out a window looking at a bird or squirrel, "chirping" at them.
Aspen would do great in a home where he has friends to play with, and run and chase after - whether they are dogs or cats. He has the energy of a kitten, and loves to be pet. Aspen is VERY outgoing!
Aspen has a chronic upper respiratory condition that we believe is caused by a deformed nasal tract. His condition REQUIRES that his nasal passages are cleaned (aspirated) at least once a day. Otherwise, he will leave "gifts" all over as a result from sneezing.
After many tests, x-rays, different antibiotics on various intervals, we have been unable to permanently cure his symptoms (eye discharge, sneezing, and a stuffy nose). He is not contagious and has been in contact with many other animals (cats and dogs), who have never shown any symptoms. We have spent a great deal of money on trying to diagnosis his condition - he has been seen by three different vets and at this point, we don't have a solid diagnosis. His sister had the same issues and was adopted out to a loving home.
Aspen is about 4 years old (born in May 2008), and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, de-wormed, and feline leukemia/FIV negative.
