Shadow is a super sweet, 10 month old Lab/Border Collie mix. This poor boy is an owner surrender, as his family realized crating a puppy for 12 hours a day just isn't fair. While Shadow is extremely sweet, he's very timid, one of the unfortunate results of spending his days alone locked in a crate. He will require a patient family who is home a good part of the day and can show him that life can indeed be good! Shadow LOVES to play with other dogs, but as he has not been properly socialized, he is still learning what is acceptable behavior around other dogs. Being a typical, 10 month old puppy he has endless energy and silliness and he doesn't always read doggy body language very well, so having a happy and confident resident dog in the home would be ideal. Shadow will thrive with a family that shows him patience, love and allows him to live and enjoy life outside of the crate. Shadow is a smart boy and will require some continued training but he is a very quick learner, and is improving by leaps and bounds. He's both house and crate trained, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives and eager to find his forever home!
