Lyla's Story...
Oh, Lyla -- from the moment we saw your picture, we knew we wanted to help. We were contacted by a rescue out of Texas that was having trouble finding a permanent home for this Southern Belle. Lyla has been living in a foster home for a while (thanks, foster mom, for these gorgeous pics), but there weren't any interested adopters in Texas. So, we decided to bring Lyla and her new boyfriend Sunny all the way here to Idaho. This girl is approximately 1-2 years old, spayed, microchipped, vet checked, vaccinated, and so ready for her happy ending. Lyla is reportedly great with kids, though her energy level might make her better suited to a home with older children, and she is good with bigger male dogs, like Sunny. Please feel free to come and meet this gorgeous lady at the Rescue. We're so glad to welcome her to Idaho.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lyla, a Meridian Mixed Breed (Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mixed Breed (Medium) for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Mixed Breed (Medium) dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mixed Breed (Medium) breeders who help with Mixed Breed (Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
