My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paws is an adorable medium-sized dog (28 lbs.) who is going to turn one year old on March 30th. He is sweet and adorable. He was surrendered to the MSPCA because his owner no longer had time for him. His previous owner described him as high energy but very lovable and cuddly. The owners thought he would do well in a home with older kids.
Paws came to us with a description of mixed Border Collie. We find his looks to be more of a Puggle and smooth coated Terrier such as a Manchester. He has not lived with cats and does bark at them and try to chase them when he sees them outside. The previous owner reports he does play with other dogs, sometimes he can be rough.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.

With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
