Timber's Story...
Meet Timber! Timber is new here, so our caretakers are still learning about his personality. He is just under a year old, currently weighs 46lbs and was surrendered for being too active for his home. He is an energetic guy with a total puppy-personality he can't wait to show everyone! He would love a home that can take him out and about to see the world (and tire him out at the same time). He has met a dog or two so far and gotten along with them fine, however we are not yet sure how he is with cats or kids. As we get to know him, we will let you know. Why not pop in for a visit and see if Timber is your guy!

Timber is temporarily unavailable, but is still able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timber, a Wilmington Mixed Breed (Medium)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mixed Breed (Medium)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Mixed Breed (Medium)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mixed Breed (Medium)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Mixed Breed (Medium)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
