Shadow's Story...
One of our loveliest rescues, Shadow is a gorgeous black beauty and is about five years old. She was rescued by our sister organization in Mexico and has been with us for years. It is surely time for Shadow to have a family of her own. She is very sweet and cuddly. Shadow is friendly and loves to have her humans pet and stroke her. Having lived at the sanctuary so long, she is quite accustomed to sharing her environment with other felines. Check out her video! Shadow has been spayed and vaccinated. She is now available for adoption in either Victoria or Vancouver, BC. If you think you would love a purring machine to cuddle, contact us at info.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Vancouver American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
