My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

He came to us when he was 10 weeks old after being found in an open country field. Mittens, who is now 7 months old has been in foster care since his arrival and has been overlooked for adoption. Poor guy had a rough start with a bout of ringworm and then with a calicivirus infection. He fully recovered from the ringworm and still will require inexpensive eye drops to help when the calici flares up due to stress. Calicivirus is a viral cause of upper respiratory infection in cats. Though is not contagious to humans, it can be contagious to un-vaccinated cats.

Mitten's foster mom, Betty says that Mittens is great with dogs, he loves to play (especially with the laser pointer), loves to curl up in a lap, and likes to talk a lot in the mornings. He loves to be groomed with a brush and is comfortable with having his face wiped with a damp cloth. He also likes to explore and sit up high on furniture.

He has been waiting to be adopted since December 2016. Foster Care Coordinator Lynn says, "Despite everything Mittens has been through, he's still the perfect kitten, he's playful, loving... and brave. He has just been waiting all this time, for that one special person to adopt him."

Mitten's $15 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, medication, vaccinations, deworming, 30-days of free pet health insurance, a cat carrier and a $10 follow up vet visit at Trinidad Animal Clinic.
