Meet Demeter. Demeter along with Athena, Dina, and Gideon were rescued from a hoarding situation. They all lack proper human socialization. However, they are not aggressive in any way towards humans or any other cats. We can touch them even though they have not figured out this is a good thing and they seem really not thrilled to be touched yet. They tend to spend the majority of their time tucked away in a safe space. They have learned to trust enough to come out even when the humans are around on occasions. They would do best in a home together or at least in pairs. An ideal home would be one where they are allowed to be independent and not expected to be a lap cat. I do feel that if they were in a quiet household dedicated to allowing them to learn and trust eventually they may come around enough to trust and be at least not fearful of their owner. Cats from situation like this are not typically considered highly adoptable pets but they did not deserve the fate given to them and that certainly does not mean they do not deserve a chance to have a real home.
