General information

Kobe is quite innocent and has a very straight forward way of thinking. He usually would not take initiative, but if a dog approaches him to play, he would play with it. Kobe loves food, and at feeding time he would clean the bowls of other dogs and finishes up every last scrape of food left, but he won't aggressively fight for food.

He loves to stay clean, and won't relieve himself at home. He knows how to use wee wee pad, as well as doing his business outside the house.

Kobe loves to stay close to his owner. When he is at a new environment he would test the owner's limit, but will be very obedient once boundaries are set.

Because he was once abandoned by his owner, Kobe really craves for love. He would love for the owner's attention, and would pretend to be mad hoping to chase away other dogs. Yet he really is a sweetie and is not really mad at all, and if other dogs would not budge, he will stay close by and wait for a chance to get close to his owner.

Rescue Story

When Kobe was barely 2 months old, he was abandoned along with his sister on a cold winter day on the street. They were reported by the local residents and were sent to the dog pound. Because the pound did not have the best environment and had problem with contagious diseases going around, puppies would died one after another. When the volunteers saw Kobe and his sister, they worried that they would succumb to the illness also, so they got the pups out of the pound and put them in foster home, waiting for a happy ending.

After some wait, Kobe finally got his own forever home and lived happily with his dad. Unfortunately, dad's company went bankrupt, and he had to leave Taiwan. Before he left, dad sent a message to our volunteer about where he left Kobe. She immediately went to fetch him and brought him home. Having lost his family, Kobe was depressed for a while and frequently hid in a corner not wanting to face anybody. Our volunteer spent some time working on him and managed to open him up again. Now Kobe is back to his playful, fun-loving handsome self.
